Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Haringey to assist with the appointment of a Project Manager, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion.

Summary

  • Successfully deliver projects using project management methodologies and tools, including the development of high-quality documentation that define clear deliverables, tasks, timelines and resource requirements.

You will have experience in:

  • Planning and managing projects, ideally in a public sector environment, and have a good understanding of the methodology and documentation required.
  • Working in the children’s services sector.
  • Working effectively with a range of different teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners. You will engage them with impeccable communication skills, building effective collaborative working relationships.
  • Utilising various Microsoft packages and project management tools in a professional setting.

You will display the following skills or attributes:

  • Self-motivation and a can-do attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team
  • An analytical mindset, coupled with the ability to spot meaningful solutions

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Adults, Housing, Legal, Finance and others to complete the work on both management agreement.
  • Support the development of clear governance arrangements that are compliant with the requirements of the 2 different company structures, and support the introduction of clear clienting arrangements that are appropriately resourced.
  • Work with the teams who deliver services to either company to ensure they are clear about their responsibilities and help develop clear performance and monitoring arrangements that allow teams to report appropriately to the Boards.
  • Check whether teams who do provide services are resourced to do so.
  • Explore if appropriate whether some services may better delivered differently.
  • Support the embedding of the arrangements, and understanding of the role and nature of the 2 companies.

Requirements:

  • Ability to plan ahead / organise / prioritise, implement and deliver programme/project and work stream plans
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise own workload so that all projects receive equal support
  • Experience and understanding of planning programmes, projects and service design and development
  • Experience of successfully managing activity and performance targets.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Relevant Project Management qualification
  • At least 3 years project and programme management in a range of sectors.

  • managing programmes in social care: 2 years (preferred)
  • Project Management: 5 years (preferred)

  • PMQ, Prince(2) and / or Prince (Agile) qualifications (required)

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in The High Road
