Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic warehouse worker to join our small but busy team. You will be working within the catering trade which is fast paced and demanding. We are a family run business based in Granton in Edinburgh and deliver fresh produce throughout Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Unloading vehicles delivering stock
• Completing through checks on incoming stock for accuracy and quality
• Efficiently storing stock while adhering to good stock rotation practices and BRC standards
• Restocking picking area in preparation for the packing team
• Completing accurate stock level checks to inform buyer
• Daily, weekly and monthly warehouse cleaning duties
• Preparing orders for delivery to customer as required
• Liaising with colleagues in other departments to ensure good communication
• General management of the warehouse area ensuring this meets the required standard

Skills

• An enthusiastic and positive approach to work
• Experience of working in a warehouse is essential
• Forklift licence is essential (we are happy to consider candidates who licence has expired)
• Ability to develop a good product knowledge
• Please note this is a very physical job which involves being on your feet and regular manual handling lifting up to 25kg

Hours of Work

· Monday- Friday from 6am until job finished (approx. between 2pm and 4pm- this will vary depending on the day) plus alternate Saturdays from 7am- finish (approx.12pm)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
