About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer you will sit across project teams providing high-level guidance and oversight, as well as stepping in to help when needed. You will be responsible for ensuring that we build correct software solutions to the right customer problems, and we do so in a well-engineered way.

We’ll need you to:

• Write high-quality code to help solve tough AI problems
• Make sure that we build well-engineered software solutions
• Guide teams to make well-considered design and architecture decisions
• Help teams to make Agile/ Scrum work for them
• Mentor our talented junior engineers
• Manage technical aspects of customer relationships

About you

We are looking for someone with the right mindset and attitude. You don’t have to be an exact match for the specific technologies we use, but need a willingness to find, learn and use the right tool for the job. As a senior member of the team, you will have a range of skills and experience to draw from and the specific technology stack won’t matter as much as the ideas behind them.

We’re looking for:

• 5+ years industry experience in a high-level language (Java/ Go/ C++/ Python etc.)
• Experience across the project life-cycle, from requirements gathering to delivery and support
• Knowledge of a cloud service provider (AWS/ GCP/ Azure)
• Knowledge in system design and architecture
• Experience working on an Agile/ Scrum team
• Ability to drive the deployment and release of our solutions
• The ability to ask questions when you don’t know something
• An appreciation and enjoyment of the uncertainty that accompanies rapid project-based development

Bonus points for AWS, Python or Docker/Kubernetes experience.
