Cheshire East Borough Council are looking for Team Manager in its Children in Care

Essential experience:

• Team Manager within the cared for childrens services- primary role will be court progression, quality assurance and tracking with additional responsibilities to support the wider team management functioning within the service.
• previous management experience, and court work essential- pay rate £48
• Social work in child care, including children subject to Child in need plans/child looked after plans/child protection and care proceedings.
• Assessment and planning in statutory child care.
• Essential knowledge of current child care legislation and guidance plus:
• An understanding of child development, including attachment theory.
• Knowledge of the assessment framework
• Ability to: Relate theory to practice Assess and Evaluate
• Communicate in writing to a high level (produce reports)
• Communicate orally to a high level (present information clearly to service users/colleagues and other agencies

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
• At least 2 years experience as a social worker within childrens services
• Social Work England Registration
• Driving license and access to own vehicle
