About You:

The ideal candidate will have proven success working within B2B PR – tech sector experience is particularly sought after. You will have already developed and nurtured relationships with a wide range of media contacts. Ideally, you will be educated to a high standard in the field of PR, Marketing and/or Journalism. You will also have experience working within a PR Agency environment but in-house may be considered especially if in a tech sector.

Excellent writing skills and the ability to translate the client’s subject matter into engaging stories for the media is essential.

You will be super-organised with plenty of drive and enthusiasm to hit the ground running. You will be full of initiative and be happy to work on your own and as part of a small team.

You will be working in an exciting fast-paced PR agency so you will need to be a self-starter who is brimming with creative ideas. Your personality will shine through and you’ll bring certain skills of your own that will benefit the whole team. You'll need to be personable as this isn’t a role where you can hide behind a computer. You will be someone who thrives on building honest and respectful relationships with colleagues, clients and journalists.

You will be an excellent communicator and able to organise and recall information about a portfolio of clients. Additionally, you will be technologically intuitive and able to pick up new systems quickly.

You’ll have detailed understanding of the communication mix from traditional to online, social and paid. You’ll have meticulous communication skills, both written and verbal. You will have the proven ability to work in a fast paced, agency environment, with strict deadlines.

Your Role as Senior PR Account Manager:

This role is critical for our next stage of growth and reports directly to the founder/CEO of the business.

As Senior PR Account Manager you will play a leading role in the management of key client accounts, managing a high level of client interaction, fulfilling key performance indicators and growing accounts where appropriate.

You will have daily contact with key media personnel, representing clients so you will need to research and understand their business and be able to communicate their key messages and stories clearly and succinctly to a journalist.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage client accounts, working with a diverse B2B client list, bringing a lot of variation to your day to day.
  • Plan creative content and be involved with the writing of client strategies and action plans.
  • Stay up to date with trends within the industry and across social media platforms
  • Write Press Releases, Pitches and Award Entries
  • Monitor trade press opportunities
  • Liaise and build relationships with colleagues, clients and the media, via face to face meetings, telephone and email

  • A confident ‘can do’ attitude is essential • Enthusiasm, dedication, initiative and self-motivation • Lateral thinking – thinking across multiple brands to maximise on all opportunities for clients • A team player • Proven ability to reach coverage targets • Proven ability to confidently liaise with clients and media • Demonstrated ability to build new media contacts across different sectors • Strong social media skills essential • Accurate attention to detail • IT literate with willingness to learn new tools/platforms/apps • Literate and numerate with strong writing and editing skills • Confident telephone manner and communication skills • Excellent planning and organisational abilities • Interest in news and current affairs and the appetite to consume news every day • Flexible approach, attitude and creative thought • Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks • Understanding of confidentiality and the importance of keeping client and agency information secure
