We are looking for a Graphic/Web Designer to join our team. The Ideal candidate will have experience in both graphic & website design and an understanding of how to effectively communicate a message through the use of colour, images, words and graphics.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks from creating the design and layout of a website to designing product packaging. If you have the ability to make web designs a reality or writing code that dictates how different parts of the website fit together this would be very beneficial.
Using industry software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator to create visual designs.
Understanding and interpreting briefs.
Attending meetings to discuss expectations and desired outcomes of design.
Presenting draft designs ideas for feedback.
Working on a range of design pieces, from social media posts to packaging design and Website design to full-scale branding projects.
draw up detailed website specifications
design sample page layouts including font, text size and colours
design graphics, animations and manipulate digital photographs
work with different content management systems
consider search engine optimisation (SEO)
meet relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards, freedom of information and privacy
design the website's visual imagery and ensure it's in line with company branding
edit content, debug code and re-design web pages
work with other web specialists, including web developers
test the website to ensure it's working
research current design trends
