Could you help Police and Crime Commissioner Steve Turner give a voice to people in Cleveland on policing and community safety issues?

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is looking for an Engagement Officer to help the PCC understand the needs, expectations and concerns of local residents.

As part of an engagement programme, the postholder create, develop and deliver a range of engagement opportunities for residents and other stakeholders to have their say.

We’re always looking for new and innovative ways to reach communities and organisations across Cleveland to help inform the policy decisions we make and the services we commission.

That might be organising events with our partners, hosting a Facebook Live Q&A or establishing focus groups with victims of crime.

We’re looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, who has previous experience in event planning, partnership working and delivering projects.

You will maintain up-to-date contact lists for stakeholders and community groups, ensuring the relevant individuals are kept up to date with our key decisions and activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be the PCC’s ‘eyes and ears’ in local communities, ensuring their voices are heard and factored into our policies to make Cleveland a safer place.
