Decentralised Energy Network (DEN) - Design & Build Technical Advisor

Location: London, United Kingdom

APEL Construction is seeking a highly skilled Design and Build Technical Advisor to support our team in the delivery of a decentralised energy network project in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical advice and guidance on the design and build aspects of the project.

Responsibilities:

ü Provide technical support and advice to the project team

ü Ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards and regulations

ü Undertake technical reviews and assessments of project documentation

ü Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for the project

ü Provide support during the tendering and procurement process

ü Liaise with contractors, suppliers and sub-consultants as required

ü Undertake site visits and inspections as required

Requirements:

ü Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field

ü Minimum of 5 years of experience in design and build of decentralized energy networks

ü Strong knowledge of energy modelling, including plant capacities, pipe sizing, pressures, temperatures, thermal storage and backup requirements

ü Experience in dynamic/transient modelling of complex networks (3 or more energy centres/separate pumping stations) to simulate events such as plant outages and sudden changes in conditions

ü Experience in design for scheme-wide controls interface (to RIBA stage 4) and full designs to RIBA stage 3 (and potentially beyond)

ü Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

ü Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

ü Ability to work effectively in a team environment
