Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all premium payment warranties are settled
  • Terms and conditions or extensions are requested where necessary
  • Ensuring all other premiums are settled in a timely manner
  • Reconciliation of balances, including liaison with operating divisions within team and with client accounts staff, as well as direct communication with Exchanging and/or underwriters to resolve accounting queries and to identify unallocated cash
  • Allocation of cash receipts and payments against ledger transactions in a timely manner
  • Maintenance of a record of reasons for existence of aged balances
  • Escalation of unresolved aged balances to Assistant Manager / Manager and/or relevant Technical/Broking staff

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Experience of working within credit control
  • Experience of dealing with reconciliation of balances previously
  • Able to prioritise workload when working with high volumes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Competent use of Microsoft office
  • Previous experience within Insurance is preferable but not essential
