Michael Page Procurement & Supply Chain are working with a highly successful Food Business as they look to recruit a Supply Chain Manager for their Lancashire operation.

This opportunity comes as the business is continuing to grow and they are looking for a driven and passionate individual capable of managing a small team, delivering greater planning capabilities, and improving systems and processes.

Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager will primarily lead a growing team, and liaise internally and externally with customers to encourage and develop better planning activities for the business:


  • Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of the supply chain management function as well as the planning and directing of activities and operations of the business.
  • Assist logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment, and delivery, and returns on products.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain a production planning system to ensure on-time in full delivery to our customers.
  • Manage current and long-term forecast projections to drive production and inventory planning goals.
  • Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.
  • Develop effective communication and processes with the transportation and logistics vendors.
  • Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors.

The Successful Applicant

Successful candidates will possess:


  • Proven track record in FMCG planning, ideally within the Food Industry
  • A hands-on management style with a proven skillset in managing, coaching and developing a team beneath you
  • An analytical mindset and a pragmatic problem-solving approach
  • A proven ability to work alongside colleagues in other departments to ensure cohesion across the business, with regards to new and existing supply chain activity
  • Solid background in planning, inventory, demand and S&OP
  • Comfortable at working with a fast paced environment

What's on Offer

  • £50-60k, depending upon experience
  • Site based role, with flexibility around working hours.
