MainPurposeofRole:


Reporting tothe Engineering & Project Director, youwill bepart oftheproject management team managing a variety of project types including but not limited to commercial customer projects, New Product Introduction (NPI) & internal Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • In line with our Project Management Process QCP172, define project scope, goals and deliverables that support the execution of a project in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, critical paths and work breakdown structures
  • When required, acquire other departmental managers/personnel from within the company to support the project process
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Frequently meet and consult with the project team on the status of the project, analysis results and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Plan and measure project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and hold Toll Gate (TG) reviews
  • Maintain and manage the project risk register and take appropriate action where necessary
  • Draft and submit project budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary and monitor earned value throughout the project lifecycle along with cost variances
  • Determine the Return on Investment (ROI) for any development projects
  • Manage project scope to quickly identify chargeable variations to the specification and liaise with the sales teams to ensure our margins are maintained.
  • Liaise with the client on project status, risk etc. on a regular basis
  • Identify and efficiently allocate resources necessary for project completion, including man hours, facilities, procured items, told etc.
  • Identify and mange conflict from project clashes with the projects team
  • Ensure KPI's are maintained and take action to improve when required

Deliverables:

  • On Time Delivery (OTD) of your projects products and test results
  • Hold Project Tollgate Reviews
  • Monthly Reports

Person Specification/Profile:

  • Strong Project Management experience essential, however a good electro mechanical engineering background with internal knowledge of Woods Air Movement would be considered
  • Prince 2 or equivalent project management qualification
  • Use of Solidworks is not essential but would be advantageous
  • A collaborative team member
  • Commercial project management Acumen
  • Competent use of Excel, Word, and MS Project
  • Good leadership skills with a can-do attitude
  • Computational and analytical skills are essential, as is report writing
  • Willingness to travel from time to time when appropriate
