Our client, an award-winning UK creative agency, has a newly created role as a PART TIME Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper to work alongside their CFO. The company, who work with biggest names within movies, gaming and sports and FMCG, are experiencing exciting growth period. The role has considerable variety (no two days the same!) as you will be accountable for everything accounts payable, receivable and credit control. Due to the role being part time, you will be working within their super cool Old Street office 2 days per a week and 1 day working from home.

You will be working as part of a friendly and highly collaborative team; hence, a friendly disposition will be advantageous!

Part Time Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper

  • Bookkeeping in Xero WorkBook – multicurrency (Purchase and Sale Invoices, Bank Postings, etc.)
  • Issuing, chasing and reconciling company credit card expenses
  • Supporting the CFO with preparing month-end journals (including Accruals and Prepayments)
  • Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations; Accruals, Prepayments and Intercompany
  • Producing supplier payments reports for the CFO’s approval
  • Managing and processing purchase orders and approval of sales and purchase invoices
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Assisting the CFO with updates to the monthly Cash Flow Forecasting, Management Accounts, and liaising with and providing schedules to the auditors as part of the annual audit
  • Assisting with HR / payroll / H&S duties when required and have the capacity

Experience & Skills

  • AAT Level 4 or qualified by work experience. Experience gained from a creative / agency environment essential!
  • Sound knowledge of double entry bookkeeping
  • Experience working in WorkBook an advantage but not essential
  • Some familiarity with multicurrency transactions
