Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant in a lucrative business in Slough. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing management accounts and a progressive and motivated attitude.

This is a hybrid role, offering on site parking and study support!

Responsibilities:

  • Completion of monthly management packs including variance analysis.
  • Processing/reviewing of monthly journals, accruals and prepayments.
  • Balancing of Intercompany accounts with transactional teams, other management accounts and group entities.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations preparation and sign off.
  • Management of audit process, developing relationships with external auditors.
  • Adhering to and developing internal financial controls, improving processes where necessary.
  • Working closely with individual P&L owners to ensure accurate monthly reporting and in line with budget
  • Working closely with the Finance Business Partner on annual budget and reforecasting quarterly.
  • Completion of VAT returns for the entity.
  • Establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures for the company.
  • Understanding and adhering to financial regulations and legislation.

Requirements:

  • Qualified with an underlying degree in finance/accounting.
  • Part or qualified CIMA or ACCA or QBE
  • Transition experience
  • Several years of experience as a Management accountant.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in developing a new transactional team.
  • Commercial and business awareness.
  • Strong excel and modelling skills
  • Ability to deliver against strict deadlines.
  • Strong leadership attributes with process.
  • Ability to work in a team.
