Gi Group are pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading manufacturers of polystyrene insulation products. We are looking for General Production Operative to join a workforce that have been responsible for the running of the successful plant based in Hartlepool for over 30 years. The role will initially be temporary ongoing, with the potential to be made permanent. This is an opportunity to join a company that is highly regarded in their industry as the best at what they do.

Due to the nature of the production process all new employees are brought on board to be trained in various aspects of the manufacturing process, and expected to be able to pick up a variety of different roles whilst working on shift.

An extensive induction will be given to General Production Operative new starters including H&S, machine procedure and Counterbalance FLT refresher.

The ideal person for this role may have a process manufacturing background and some knowledge of CNC machine operations.

To apply for this General Production Operative role you MUST hold a valid accredited Counterbalance forklift license, if you cannot provide this you will not be considered for the position, as the job requires FLT operation.
Successful candidates' MUST pass a basic health medical, drug and alcohol test and background check. We also require your CV to be up to date with your most recent job history.

Hours of Work
Initially new starters will work 8 hour shifts, 6am - 2pm Monday, then move onto a shift basis.

Applicants MUST be able to work 12 hour shifts on a rolling rota.

• x2 12-hour day shifts 6am - 6pm
• x2 12-hour night shifts 6pm - 6am
• x4 off, then repeat

Rates of Pay

• Standard - £10.50 per hour
• Time and half - £15.75 per hour, paid AFTER 8 hours
• Double time - £21.00 per hour
