Glencore’s Front Office Technology Department within the Oil and Gas division is seeking a summer intern to support with the onboarding of analysts to new data analytics technologies.
Job Description:
Working alongside senior technologists in the Front Office Technology Department, you will be providing support for analysts onboarding to a new set of data analytics technologies. This will include creating documentation, coding samples, and hands-on programming. You will need to quickly come up to speed on basic commodities trading business concepts, as this knowledge is essential to understanding the technology and providing effective support.
The ideal candidate disposes of:
- STEM degree, with preference given to those with a strong numerate component, such as computer science or engineering.
- Capable Python programmer
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to quickly understand and apply basic commodities trading concepts
- Must be available for 3 months between June and September 2023.
