CREDIT OPERATIONS, BUSINESS SUPPORT OFFICER - ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT (JOB NUMBER: 28507)

Credit Operations is a dedicated Operating Line within CIB ITO. Its function is to ensure a 1st level of defence within CIB through an independent reporting, monitoring and control (a priori & a posteriori) of the risks taken by CIB on Corporate clients applied on the entire credit chain – from Front Office support to ITO Servicing.

Job Purpose

  • Credit Business Support Officer (CBSO) is a fully competent and experienced Credit Operations professional (Credit Transaction Management, Security Package, Covenants, Credit Documentation and Loans Services) accountable for coordinating and overseeing Operations and activities between local FO/Coverage/Functions and Credit Operations (TCS, CTM, and Loans Servicing) teams.
  • Coordinating autonomously actions (if any) relative to Credit Operations in order to ensure transversal overview and end to end quality of service.
  • Monitoring and supporting Credit Operations teams in Lisbon as well as ensuring that regulatory requirements and relevant procedures are carried out in accordance with expectations and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Monitoring and supporting Loans Servicing team with operational review of loans documentation.

Accountable for establishing relationships with the relevant business lines to identify business requirements and provide appropriate Credit Operations support.

Core Accountabilities

Advisory

  • Act as a Credit Operations specialist to support the Business on:
  • Technical feasibility questions pre credit committee decision
  • Complex Deal Structures review and translation into structured data (for later encoding)
  • Facilitate relationship between local Stakeholders and Credit Operations Hubs
  • Inform service Hubs on any regulatory changes and product evolutions
  • Project coordinator/contributor on TAC/NAC
  • Deliver small scale Projects to improve Credit Operations support to the business.
  • Establish relationships with the business to identify business requirements and provide appropriate support.
  • Assist in training Credit Operations teams in the Hub to bridge any gaps in skillsets.
  • Business Monitoring (BAU)
  • Monitor and support the quality of service provided by the Credit Operations Hubs
  • Coordinate Operations issues involving Business, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Accounting, OPC,…
  • Contribute & participate to onshore & nearshore/offshore Committees (eg: Risk & Performance / Run / SLA…)
  • Physical management of original documentation
  • Management and resolution of internal client complaints
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of results of monitoring based on their expertise to help identify opportunities for improvements to the quality of service provided by the Hubs.

Oversight

  • Monitor outsourced services:
        • Global overview of the end to end processing chain & controls applications (Global Control Plan)
        • Monitor the KPIs as documented in the SLAs
        • Review and monitor the TRTs as proposed by the Hubs
        • Maintain a global / detailed view of the organization & set up
        • OPC SPOC (risk identification & assessment)
  • Other Contributions
  • External / regulatory audit
  • Entry point to other internal Departments (Legal, Business, Compliance)
  • Can act as a contributor on transversal projects
  • Back-up for the local Loan Servicing team as and when required

Skills & Experience Required

Operational Know-How

  • Experience and detailed knowledge of Corporate credit products & credit process with a good product/organization/process/compliance regulation knowledge
  • Able to translate expert knowledge into recommendations to improve services provided by the Hub.
  • Good relationship skills & advisory experience in order to support Business & Delivery Centers Hubs
  • Knowledge on Permanent Control framework & experience of Operations
  • Good IT know-how (standard office + bank tools)
  • Good working knowledge of a wide range of BNPP Operations policies, procedures, regulations and legislation.
